I am truly surprised someone posted this before I could. Bravo!

Have not seen that one, worth the watch.

Actual lyric video or og: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rpq35wyDi7I&list=RDRpq35wyDi7I&start_radio=1

Revved up like a deuce makes no sense either.

In 2005,  Springsteen himself commented on this amusing mistake. “Deuce was like a Little Deuce Coupe, as in a 2-seater Hot Rod."

TIL this was originally a Springsteen song. I’ve only ever heard Manfred Mann's Earth Band’s far superior version.

[–] maccentric@sh.itjust.works 8 points 4 months ago

As an aside, but in the same vein; TIL that the song Hard to Handle is not a Black Crowes song, nor Grateful Dead, but Otis Redding

I did know about this being a Springsteen song ( and you are totally correct, Manfred Mann hits it outta the park)

Heresy, the Springsteen version has more verses

[–] shynoise@lemmy.world 4 points 4 months ago

"Me hermano, ha ha ha ha!"

Why are we including the post around this image here? Just right click and select "copy image", or the equivalent on a phone. It's not so difficult. 😅 The post around the image doesn't add anything. I'm not complaining, I'm just confused.

[–] pelespirit@sh.itjust.works 5 points 4 months ago (1 children)

Because this is a twitter community, not a meme community.

[–] victorz@lemmy.world 4 points 4 months ago

Oh shit, finally a reply that makes sense. I missed that, actually. 🙏👍 Well done.

I'm not op, but it's actually easier to use the snipping tool hotkey, as it's one press, saves the photo and immediately copies to my clipboard

[–] victorz@lemmy.world 3 points 4 months ago (1 children)

That's literally one vs two clicks, and that's not as exact/precise as copying the image itself to the clipboard like you can via the context menu.

But that still doesn't explain why the post around the image was included. Why snip so far around the image. 🫠

[–] StarvingMartist@sh.itjust.works 1 points 4 months ago (1 children)

Yeah, ones still smaller than two, and when I'm snipping, I'm not precise, I get what I need and move on with my life, because believe it or not. I don't really care .

[–] victorz@lemmy.world 1 points 4 months ago (1 children)

Yeah, one[']s still smaller than two

Except I'm done after clicking "Copy image", which is only two clicks. You have to press a key combo to initiate snipping, then click to start snipping, then drag the cursor.

That's more work, buddy. 💀

But since you don't care, I guess you don't need to optimize. 😉 Carry on!

[–] StarvingMartist@sh.itjust.works 1 points 4 months ago (1 children)

Why are you getting upset? I'm just explaining my process

Cut Loose Like a Deuce or Revved Up Like a Deuce

Depending if you like the good version or Manfed Mann's.
