Nine Inch Nails with A perfect Circle opening for them. I brought my younger brother with and we had a blast.

Oh wow, you saw them on the Fragility tour? I missed out on that but I would have loved to go. That's my favourite era of both NIN and APC.
A Perfect Circle were a hard act to follow. We didn't have the greatest seats, however, it was still a blast.
Have you or are you going to see NIN on their current tour? I went in June and honestly, it's one of the best shows I've ever been to.
I doubt that I can afford to see them, otherwise I'd love to see them perform again.
I remember back in the 90s, my crush one day asked me if I wanted to go see a concert. I was like: yeah! But they didn't mention that they also invited their ex. So not only was it kinda awkward (the ex was far cooler than me) but I don't even remember who the band was, all I remember is they were trying to sound like NIN and not succeeding.
The first alt concert that I really enjoyed was His Name is Alive which I guess is "experimental rock, dream pop"... anyway I remember sitting in the "under 21" section and thinking the music was really good... It was a fairly small venue too, the acoustics were great...
My first goth-adjacent show would probably be Placebo at a festival (and that's very adjacent).
First full concert was Lacrimosa.
Placebo are so good, I'd really like to see them perform.
I'm not a concert person but a band I liked in high school was touring and I figure I'd try it. Everyone was all dressed in black with glowing horns and stuff. Is that goth? I don't know anything.
Had a great time though. I'll go the next time they're in town.
I never really liked the hard songs but the guy next to me. He just flung himself into dancing with the song. He showed me how to love it. Eye opening.
Is that goth?
Hey, it's all a continuum... that's what I like about posting here, it's all good. In my local area the goth-y bands all play with other scenes anyway... wait, that reminds me of a meme I saw somewhere, I'ma look it up and post it...

I think they were called Skies of Grey or something like that out of northeast Ohio when I was in uni.
these folks?

it's been a while since I've seen a web page on an angelfire site... the kind with an imagemap menu and direct links to mp3s... (not available, but TIL that VLC plays RealAudio files...)
That seems about right. I didn't even try to find them, heh
My first exposure to punk rock was The Uncle Floyd show on public access in NYC. Itβs ludicrous to think that a random public access guy, who on his own is a he'll of a crooner, had on the bands he did. From his wiki :
βLocal bands such as The Smithereens, The Shades, and R. Stevie Moore, along with such well-known performers as The Ramones, Tiny Tim, Benny Bell, Bon Jovi, Jan and Dean, Peter Tork, Squeeze, David Johansen, Blue Γyster Cult, Joe Jackson, and Cyndi Lauper also appeared on Vivino's program.β
The Ramones blew my mind as a kid.
