Nope, it's serious. Sky News Australia is owned by Rupert Murdoch's News Corp, which explains the far-right lunacy that it is known for.
Sky News UK is owned by Comcast, and is generally considered to be a much more professional and respectable news outlet. Not perfect, but more BBC than Fox News.
I was more familiar with the UK one and thought I came across a fake account when I first saw the Australian one. It felt like an over exaggerated caricature of far-right rage bait

Europe is falling, but not for this reason.
I'm in Finland. Over here every summer there's always some streets that are being repaved or major public service buildings that gets closed due to "renovations". Ha, I know that's just a government cover-up. They don't want us to know about the looting gangs who apparently have access to stealth technology!

We had similar shit years ago when Americans thought Europe is communist. Or years later when Americans thought Sweden became a Muslim state. Or any other bullshit a 12 year old or someone with the mind of a 12 year old believed in the last decades.
And every time the epicentre of stupidity is Rupert Murdoch. No wonder they love Russia. Both are masters of making up insane bullshit.
Maybe Murdoch is the epicentre, but I remember Oprah being very worried on her show because the socialist party came third in the Dutch elections (in the early 2000's).
And here I was thinking I can’t dislike that woman even more.
The Socialist party was first in Portugal... let's forget it's barely socialist but ok.
Oh and up until recently the (actual) Communist party was third.

This reminds me of an interaction I had here the other day. There was an article about ICE kidnappings in San Francisco and someone asked why the armed gangs weren’t doing battle with ICE. There are no roving armed gangs in San Francisco, despite what shitty right wing media fantasies claim.
