Nope, it's serious. Sky News Australia is owned by Rupert Murdoch's News Corp, which explains the far-right lunacy that it is known for.

Sky News UK is owned by Comcast, and is generally considered to be a much more professional and respectable news outlet. Not perfect, but more BBC than Fox News.

I was more familiar with the UK one and thought I came across a fake account when I first saw the Australian one. It felt like an over exaggerated caricature of far-right rage bait

Ah that makes sense, so Sky News UK is basically NBC in the U.S. (Also owned by Comcast)

Yes but only because Comcast bought UK Sky a few years ago off of Murdoch.
