Welcome to the discussion of US Politics!

Rules:

  1. Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.

Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

Trump grew up in a world of vast privilege, but that doesn't mean that he wasn't emotionally wounded. Now, once again, the world pays the price for this deeply damaged man.

He's a fucking psychopath. As in, he literally shows warning signs for anti social personality disorder. Obviously I'm not qualified to diagnose him, but that doesn't mean my fear isn't real

[–] entwine413@lemm.ee 17 points 1 day ago (1 children)

At the very least he's a textbook narcissist.

Yep that goes without saying. He's definitely a DA perp, and he's incredibly dangerous.

[–] KingPorkChop@lemmy.ca 6 points 1 day ago

He's a cunt

[–] MuskyMelon@lemmy.world 70 points 1 day ago (2 children)

When he eventually falls, due to politics or health or time, those who propped him up should be made to answer.

[–] SnarkoPolo@lemmy.world 11 points 1 day ago (1 children)

That won't happen. High road, time to heal, all that. Ask Argentina.

[–] AlexLost@lemm.ee 8 points 1 day ago

I prefer the French example

[–] Soup@lemmy.world 9 points 1 day ago (3 children)

Or, crazy thought, they should be made to answer now.

You’d be a great PR guy for the DNC with those empty, spineless, push-it-down-the-road words.

Maybe pick your battles. I don't think dude here is the cause of your woes.

Holding people accountable requires the political will to do so - and I’m talking about the people, not Congress.

The fascists won’t back down until and unless they’re afraid. They have to be made to feel fear. The old systems of shame and voting and criminal prosecution don’t work anymore.

Fourth box.

[–] MuskyMelon@lemmy.world 10 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Answering now is preferred. Now, who you gonna find that's gonna do that? Congress is fucked, the courts are fucked, the police are fucked. That's why they get to run riot.

Unless you find someone to go "Surprise, it'sa me Mario!" on these people, there's nothing else right now.

No friends. His family hate him. No enjoyment of food. No hobbies. No music or literature.

Shit, man. Not even a dog.

And lies about it.

[–] KingPorkChop@lemmy.ca 4 points 1 day ago

He thinks pets are for the unwashed plebs.

[–] D_C@lemm.ee 3 points 1 day ago

At least his wife loves him, right?

Perhaps he just doesn’t remember his earlier years. His maturation stoped at the age of 2.5 when his mom left the family to get care for her illness.

[–] gdog05@lemmy.world 3 points 1 day ago

After seeing her interviews and seeing who Trump is now, her leaving during his formative years might have helped him more than it hurt him. The results are tragic and dangerous still.

[–] SnarkoPolo@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Somehow I don't doubt that.

[–] Dagwood222@lemm.ee 1 points 1 day ago

I read a detective novel years ago. One character said that even when people are lying, they always reveal a lot when they are boasting.

[–] DaddleDew@lemmy.world 17 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Trump is a real life Pakled. He managed to coerce actually smart people to "make him strong".

I saved this during the whole Signal thing.

I am totally stealing this, good one.

He's going senile too. His impulse control is almost gone.
