Everything in Star Wars has happened a long time ago, in a galaxy far away, and it's a rich universe of millions of words and millions of years of history. So current Earthly matters really shouldn't concern us here. In other words, leave politics, philosophies and convictions behind the door. Ok, but all they did is paint a hot guy like The Crow, give him a badass lightsaber, and put horns on his head. If they'd cast Gary Busey as Maul it would be a different story. A much more horrifying story.

Fun fact: he's sometimes named Toadimus Toadster or something equally ridiculous, but at the time of that movie, his real name was Mortimer Toynbee, which is how I picked this username. Most people who have any guesses at all think it's from the toynbee tiles, which are cool but which I hadn't heard of (and maybe weren't a thing) when picking this name.
