It's well known that elves aren't known for having babies all the time and the fact that they have a long lifespan and age very slowly, isn't it.. Well when I think about it like that, if an elf takes an incredibly long time to mature out of nursing stage meaning they need milk for longer than human babies, maybe big booba makes sense, but for most of the rest of the time, flat makes sense.
