It will never stop being funny to me that bwfore the movie"Birth of a nation" the KKK was dressed fairly differently, the getup and terminology come from that movie (Not the ideolog, ofc they kept that), and the reason for the white baggy cloth is because the movies explanations was that african Americans where scared of ghosts so we should dress up as ghosts to scare them.

Slightly bugs me that the KKK hat is before the Confederate hat; it was so close to being in chronological order.
