Looking forward to watching this.

I felt conflicted watching his video about Mobil 1 synthetic oil, which was sponsored by Mobil 1 synthetic oil. I couldn't tell if I was watching a really good infomercial or a really good infotainment. Or if I could trust the information being communicated.

It’s infotainment. I have heard the points he brought up in other contexts , specifically in how to tow videos.

Aluminum does have stress problems when compared to steel for repetitive load and unload conditions.

Oh yeah, it definitely does. One of the things I remember most from mat-sci was that aluminum ALWAYS fatigues, regardless of stress magnitude, but steel won't fatigue crack as long as stresses stay below the fatigue threshold.

Something I remember applying well to the Navy's LCS project, I believe it was.

Not to mention that the range reduction is extreme. It goes from something like 380 miles to 190 miles.

Range reduction is a function of how efficient an electric vehicle is in comparison to fossil fuels. But still, it’s not unreasonable to see 1/2 the range on a gas truck.

That video doesn’t address that aspect. Only the physical aspect of tow hitch and frame suitably for towing.

Sure. It's another major drawback though. Imagine how irritating it would be to have to find a charger and stop for an hour+ every 2 1/2 hours of highway travel.
