Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). 3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

Damn only took two years of genocide and throwing the election for orange man.

[–] [email protected] 44 points 1 week ago

And it started at 42% before the genocide. So two years of genocide convinced 11% of people that the apartheid state was bad, actually.

There were many polls, prior and during the election, that showed how popular a weapons embargo to force Israel to agree to ceasefire was, and has only grown as the genocide continues. All despite the constant manufacturing of consent from mainstream media, downplaying if not ignoring what has been happening

True. And at this point not supporting Israel would be better for votes.

MSM did help with that, they mades ure it was front news all the time, in order to hurt biden/kamala chances, conveniently went quiet, into the background since he got elected.

Israel First policy is so very wrong for America.

[–] [email protected] 18 points 1 week ago

You mistake us. America is, and always has been Genocide First

Clearly it's time to deport the majority of Americans to foreign prisons.

Is it because they’re ostensibly our ally but have shitty political views and I’m not sure why we keep bailing them out when they fuck up? Because that’s how I feel about half my cousins. I want to be loyal but I also try to find a way to get out of Thanksgiving every year.

At some point you have to stop lighting yourself on fire to keep a “friend” warm.

It's at least partly due to the amount of insane christian zealots who believe that any nation who turns their back on israel will be destroyed by god during Armageddon (the bible speaks of this). Wish i didn't have first hand knowledge of this lol

[–] [email protected] 9 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Funny thing is, the Bible really doesn’t speak of that. It speaks of the armies that come to destroy Zion as being destroyed themselves. The rest is opportunistic interpretation.

Whether Zion refers to Israel the nation, the spiritual descendants of Abraham, Jerusalem or the New Jerusalem is all in how you read it. And the Jewish scriptures are pretty clear that the land will be levelled in the fighting, after which people from all nations will be able to come to the rebuilt Jerusalem in peace.

I apppreciate this context!

Decades of propaganda at work and a political inertia exploiting the well-meaning attempt at thwarting antisemitism (and the risk of being perceived as Antisemitic), combined with massive anti-Muslin sentiment.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 1 week ago (1 children)

I’ve never understood anti-Muslins… I mean, it doesn’t wrinkle and it breathes better than silk and linen… why the hate?

Some people just prefer nights in white satin, I tell ya.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 week ago

If the US didn't support them they would go to someone else and take their intelligence gathering with them.

[–] [email protected] 18 points 1 week ago

I don't like being be cynical but all over the western and islamic world is people not liking the genocide and barely anywhere is there a government trying to stop it from happening. Yes this is good news, but I'm afraid it's not gonna do much for Gaza or the West Bank.

[–] [email protected] 10 points 1 week ago

Wow they must all be antisemites who need to be sent to El Salvadorian concentration camps! (Never mind the open white supremacists with Tiki torches marching through the streets shouting “Jews will not replace us!”, those guys are free speech advocates!!!!)

[–] [email protected] 9 points 1 week ago

Gosh, you don't say.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 week ago

next on the list of deportation would be first nations who are anti-genocide.
