Saw you post this on mastodon as well. Sadly I don't think posting to LW from mastodon is currently working. At least not for me.
But this track is classic for sure

Hey! I just copy and paste the post intro Lemmy. Nothing fancy. I truly like the revival of this community. So i put My grain of sand when i can.
Thank you so much for posting. I have a lot more music to listen to now!
I think in theory it should work, since the recent lemmy.world upgrade. I'm still trying to figure it out tho. Here's some info:
I tried in the last week but no luck.
Yeah from what I've seen, even if you get it to work the formatting's usually messed up. Unless you're ONLY posting an image, text, and a title to a single sub and don't care about tracking upvotes and replies.
However, this community is being federated from lemmy to at least one major mastodon instance: https://mastodon.social/@[email protected]
For those not on mastodon.social, here's how you can see this lemmy community on your mastodon instance:
ofc the formatting and interface is a bit wonky. like if there's a bandcamp or youtube link you click on the toot once to see the full toot, then a second time to see the lemmy post's text, then a third time to get to the music/video, then a fourth time to actually play the content. and I'm not sure if Mastodon replies/boosts/favorites are sent here. But still, the information gets out, and it's a good advertisement for this community.
Yep I have an account on social and follow a few communities from there.
Very interesting... hadn't heard of them before... Great sound.
Kiss The Blade was formed in Gloucestershire, UK in 1984 and had a lot of Radio 1 airplay by Janice Long. "The Party’s Begun" was the first single and "Young Soldier"(a protest song against the Faklands war) followed.
Kiss The Blade was a obscure UK post punk / new wave / dark / gothic quartet fronted by vocalist/guitarist Terry Elcock and guitarist Tim J. Broughton.

Looks like there was another band with the same name formed in Austria in 1991 (who are on bandcamp) which might make it a bit harder for people to find out about them.
Yes, definitely a bit higher profile among elder goth and postpunkers. Not a lot released and it's release was a long time ago. But just as good still today.
