THE COUNCIL HAS SPOKEN
Has anyone played these games? How do they compare to each other and to other indie simulators?
Have not played DDS, but I have about 15 hours in Schedule 1.
I thought Schedule 1 is really good, the main loop (drug development and distribution) is very satisfying and it's cool to explore the city.
The biggest challenge with Schedule 1 are the bugs, particularly the ones around automation (hiring people to work for you).
I would say Schedule 1 is a lot of fun as is, but it might be worth checking it out when they release 0.4.x (next major version), hopefully many of the bugs will be fixed and there will be more polish to the existing gameplay.
I have played DDS2 but I have not played Schedule 1 yet.
I think I'd like to wait for more information before grabbing a pitchfork either way. Like, maybe it will turn out that Schedule 1 actually did infringe, or maybe the DDS devs will look into it and find that they didn't with no lawsuit involved.
