Welcome to the News community!

Rules:

1. Be civil

Attack the argument, not the person. No racism/sexism/bigotry. Good faith argumentation only. This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban. Do not respond to rule-breaking content; report it and move on.

2. All posts should contain a source (url) that is as reliable and unbiased as possible and must only contain one link.

Obvious biased sources will be removed at the mods’ discretion. Supporting links can be added in comments or posted separately but not to the post body. Sources may be checked for reliability using Wikipedia, MBFC, AdFontes, GroundNews, etc.

3. No bots, spam or self-promotion.

Only approved bots, which follow the guidelines for bots set by the instance, are allowed.

4. Post titles should be the same as the article used as source. Clickbait titles may be removed.

Posts which titles don’t match the source may be removed. If the site changed their headline, we may ask you to update the post title. Clickbait titles use hyperbolic language and do not accurately describe the article content. When necessary, post titles may be edited, clearly marked with [brackets], but may never be used to editorialize or comment on the content.

5. Only recent news is allowed.

Posts must be news from the most recent 30 days.

6. All posts must be news articles.

No opinion pieces, Listicles, editorials, videos, blogs, press releases, or celebrity gossip will be allowed. All posts will be judged on a case-by-case basis. Mods may use discretion to pre-approve videos or press releases from highly credible sources that provide unique, newsworthy content not available or possible in another format.

7. No duplicate posts.

If an article has already been posted, it will be removed. Different articles reporting on the same subject are permitted. If the post that matches your post is very old, we refer you to rule 5.

8. Misinformation is prohibited.

Misinformation / propaganda is strictly prohibited. Any comment or post containing or linking to misinformation will be removed. If you feel that your post has been removed in error, credible sources must be provided.

9. No link shorteners or news aggregators.

All posts must link to original article sources. You may include archival links in the post description. News aggregators such as Yahoo, Google, Hacker News, etc. should be avoided in favor of the original source link. Newswire services such as AP, Reuters, or AFP, are frequently republished and may be shared from other credible sources.

10. Don't copy entire article in your post body

For copyright reasons, you are not allowed to copy an entire article into your post body. This is an instance wide rule, that is strictly enforced in this community.

Ex-TV show host with several bankrupted casino to his credit should not be prescribing medicine.

Only you, Donald Trump, should be taking medicine.. all the time.

[–] MyOpinion@lemm.ee 23 points 10 months ago

Yes you have to inject bleach sometimes for no reason and then recover from a totally ridiculous decision.

OK, but I want to know the important news:

Did he win the golf tournament?!

[–] Pringles@lemm.ee 7 points 10 months ago

Given his tendency to just play with whichever golf ball has the best position, whether it's his or not, I would say he probably won.

That's not even a joke: https://uproxx.com/sports/donald-trump-course-golf-championship-stole-childs-ball/

Tariffs are economic medicine just like ivermectin is viral medicine.

So his statement is correct, but his application of it is criminally negligent.

[–] Litebit@lemmy.world 16 points 10 months ago

But sometimes, presidents need to be impeached for the country to survive.

[–] RememberTheApollo_@lemmy.world 15 points 10 months ago (1 children)

Trump says he doesn’t want stocks to go down, “But I’m a fucking idiot that doesn’t know how these things work.”

[–] some_designer_dude@lemmy.world 7 points 10 months ago* (last edited 10 months ago) (1 children)

The original phrasing is worse because he’s saying “I know they’re going down, I know it sucks for poors, but I don’t give a shit. It’s literally a price I’m willing to have them pay on my behalf.”

God I hope you guys Mussolini that prick.

[–] RememberTheApollo_@lemmy.world 3 points 10 months ago

Both can be true.

[–] Ioughttamow@fedia.io 13 points 10 months ago (1 children)

I thought you didn’t have to take medicine though? Hmmm

[–] shittydwarf@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 points 10 months ago

It might have been better for everyone if he had taken syphilis medicine

[–] JusticeForPorygon@lemmy.blahaj.zone 12 points 10 months ago

The medicine is thalidomide

[–] Etterra@discuss.online 8 points 10 months ago (1 children)

So do you Trump. You just need to take a different kind of medicine. I won't say which one. I don't need to get disappeared.

[–] HeyThisIsntTheYMCA@lemmy.world 4 points 10 months ago (1 children)

Agreed. I'd like you to stick around. I think I recall the cure you're referring to. Must be taken internally.

[–] meyotch@slrpnk.net 3 points 10 months ago (1 children)

Be sure to use the handy applicator device!

[–] HeyThisIsntTheYMCA@lemmy.world 7 points 10 months ago

So funny thing I just got banned on reddit for something like calling for explicit violence. My crime: a comment consisting of this image and only this image

They may take our freedom of speech, but they'll never take our sense of humor, because it was never there to begin with

Maybe, but this is as stupid as taking double chemo when you don't have cancer.

[–] Case@lemmynsfw.com 3 points 10 months ago (1 children)

I mean, chemo is primarily used for cancer - however it is also used to treat some autoimmune and blood disorders.

I assume you mean as a healthy person though, which yeah... sounds miserable if you have no reason.

[–] Buffalox@lemmy.world 1 points 10 months ago

Yes I mean as a healthy person, I thought it was specifically for Cancer it was called chemo.

[–] Doctor_Satan@lemm.ee 7 points 10 months ago

And sometimes you convince 77 million of the dumbest motherfuckers on planet earth that Novichok is "medicine".

[–] hildegarde@lemmy.blahaj.zone 6 points 10 months ago

Trump is against medicine.

[–] MiyamotoKnows@lemmy.world 6 points 10 months ago

This medicine tastes suspiciously like borscht.

[–] JeeBaiChow@lemmy.world 5 points 10 months ago

'Let's just call it an oops!'

Fucker doesn't understand tariffs.

[–] My_IFAKs___gone@lemmy.world 4 points 10 months ago

Oh crap, you have a bloody nose? Well don't worry, I happen to have a tourniquet handy...

[–] Litebit@lemmy.world 2 points 10 months ago

Taking medicine is not the same as stock going down. People are known to commit suicide when market crashes.

[–] Goldholz@lemmy.blahaj.zone 2 points 10 months ago

So 1923 also was medicin?
