I could have sworn there were lighter broadcast restrictions after 10 pm. It’s a bit ridiculous that NBC is freaking out over the word “shit” being used on late night tv.

“Shit” falls under the profane category.

Indecent and profane content are prohibited on broadcast TV and radio between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m., when there is a reasonable risk that children may be in the audience.

Indecent and profane content are prohibited on broadcast TV and radio between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m.

SNL: Saturdays at 11:30 pm.

11:30 pm is 1h30m after the "prohibited" section, which ends at 10pm and resumes the following morning at 6am. So...it is allowed for SNL to say "shit" then?
