Some fucking idiot doesn't know that periods often don't show up on a set schedule. 🀑

According to the secretariat, emails threatening the life of Yoshida, a member of the Japanese Communist Party, were sent at roughly one-minute intervals between 8:00 p.m. on Friday and 3:50 p.m. on Monday. All were sent from the same email address.

One huge creep?

Seems like it. Definitely a person who should invest their time into something less harmful. Who gets this enraged over menstrual products being more available?

That level of dedication should be a huge red flag and get her assigned heightened security. Even just creating a script to send an email every minute is a level of fixation that can quickly escalate.

I 100% agree, it's fixated and the person is putting time and energy into harassing her. It also shows they have IT skills which they can use for other things.

It's most likely automated

I know, and said as much in my original comment. Still for a politician to get such an influx is more than just harassment.

Good lord, same email address? I'd somehow missed that part. Who does that?

Unhinged people do this. They aren’t rational, so you’ll never be able to make it make sense

calling for menstrual products to be made available in public restrooms

Bruh its not like she said me keep some in the bum. No need for script. Let's compromise on vending machine before escalate to stalker like behavior or better yet go catch some bugs.

Great, more immature men lashing out at things they dont understand.

"At her age, she should know to carry emergency sanitary napkins."

You start carrying emergency toilet paper then.

People can argue all day long that we should be responsible for our own pads/tampons etc. but ultimately these arguments of where the responsibility lies miss the point. It's just nice, it's such a relief when you get caught out and have an emergency and you know you don't have to worry about making something makeshift or finding a shop or having some change to use one of the crappy vending machines in the bathroom. I was ambivalent about free period products before moving to Scotland last year but just having them available when you need them is fantastic. Like the state doesn't need to provide them but god does it make such a difference when they do.

To be fair, this is actually normal in Japan.

In cities, many businesses will advertise by putting a little marketing ad inside a small pack of tissues. People will be hired to hand these out at busy street corners. It's not uncommon for restrooms to not have toilet paper, so you use the tissues.

Truly a most advanced society.

I genuinely could not be a policeman. Every death threat would be laughed at, and sent back a message full of ridicule

Like LoL chat.
