Perchance - Create a Random Text Generator
⚄︎ Perchance
This is a Lemmy Community for perchance.org, a platform for sharing and creating random text generators.
Feel free to ask for help, share your generators, and start friendly discussions at your leisure :)
This community is mainly for discussions between those who are building generators. For discussions about using generators, especially the popular AI ones, the community-led Casual Perchance forum is likely a more appropriate venue.

5. Refrain from requesting Prompts for the AI Tools.
- We would like to ask to refrain from posting here needing help specifically with prompting/achieving certain results with the AI plugins (
text-to-image-pluginandai-text-plugin) e.g. "What is the good prompt for X?", "How to achieve X with Y generator?" - See Perchance AI FAQ for FAQ about the AI tools.
- You can ask for help with prompting at the 'sister' community Casual Perchance, which is for more casual discussions.
- We will still be helping/answering questions about the plugins as long as it is related to building generators with them.
6. Search through the Community Before Posting.
- Please Search through the Community Posts here (and on Reddit) before posting to see if what you will post has similar post/already been posted.

There's currently what I presume is a temporary issue where elements beyond the 250-300th word will be ignored, I'm not 100% certain on what the exact cutoff point is, it seems to vary.
So: I just stripped my prompts a little, mostly removing the redundant and overly verbose descriptions that used to be necessary -- that fixed it right away.
I'm getting downright amazing results with these smaller inputs now, for both realistic and stylized images. The trick really is that you have to put the most important details first, and the least important last. That way you guarantee that the "essence" of the image you want doesn get lost if you inadvertently cross the 250-300 word boundary.
Also, some people are saying that removing negative prompts seemed to help. I can't confirm that because I wasn't using them.
Now, and I'ma go a bit offtopic here, I don't know if this situation is only temporary or what, but it took such a miniscule effort on my part to adapt to the change that, with all due respect, I'm left once again wondering what in Dagon's unholy piehole is wrong with folks rushing to the torch and pitchfork.
Well, business as usual: another update, another riot ;)
I mostlly use way shorter prompts anyway and the results Im getting are sadly depressing in comparisson to what it was before. Its not about the prompts. I tried very different styles. The engine is just way lower quality now. And I think if something like that happens feedback is whats necesary and wanted. Nothing to do with pitchforks.
Friendly reminder that politely reporting an issue is not the same as "this is horrendous, shocking, depressing, a catastrophe" et cetera. There's a fine line between giving feedback and plain old venting :)
Come on. Dev reads what we write here. And the exact same reaction and request has been seen and made before, right after an update -- if it was feasible to "offer both" I think we wouldn't be having this discussion in the first place. So where does that leave us, exactly?
Well, I was able to very closely reproduce the aesthetics I wanted for thirty-one custom styles, so if you forgive me, I will take your assertion with a pinch of salt. I've run into minor issues here and there too, but the situation is pretty far from unworkable. And despite these problems, I'm still getting higher quality than before, and more consistently to boot.
So I dunno. But I can provide you some examples of things that currently work really well, if you like.
The biggest issue that I've found with the shorter prompts is where you're trying to describe a number of specific things (for example, if you're trying to describe two or three specific characters, define hair colors with highlights, eye colors, skin colors, body shape/type, where the characters are in relation to each other, what they're doing, where they are in terms of a scene, what the atmosphere/time of day is, some objects in the scene, lighting, and so on in addition to the art style of the image) then you quickly run out of words before you hit the limit where things get hit and dropped off.
lot you aren't recognizing that's the least of the issues, likely a result of other issues. either related too temporary lowered resources, offline multi modality, that or the mian dev finally decided too flip back on Sryle Core Critiquing of the GAi modeling core.
I agree, we don't need huge prompts anymore, I'm still trying to fix the cartoonish style, but I'm sure I'm the problem, since my prompts suuuuck, I have about 380-400 words, it doesn't seem to ignore anything... but 100%, another update another riot
For a free service, remember that
I don't think you are the problem with the cartoonish style results. I get the same cartoonish results with prompts that used to render into almost academically realistic imagery. It is heartbreaking to see the cartoonish results now.
We never did, I mean some yall had the craziest natural language style blocks going on LOL... literally the Size of my largest Formula blocks some of them.., outside fine-tuning using Formula blocks the actual style blending it does is literally a few short phrases or https: calls, typically around 3 short blends.
