Absolutely lol 2009 was the start of recession and 2012 was like the Mayan calendar doomsday.
I'll take 1996 off your hands. I had duck hunt on NES and my parents were still married.
'96 was such a choice year. The year Pokemon came out, as well as a sick lineup of films - Trainspotting, Independence Day, Mission Impossible, Scream, Happy Gilmore, Mars Attacks!, Space Jam; the list goes on.
But '99 was The Matrix and they even told us it was peak human civilization. We were all "yeah, it's pretty good, but it's only going to get better..."
