The panels’ removal at the Netherlands American Cemetery comes after Donald Trump issued a series of executive orders ending diversity, equity and inclusion programs.

Ever since a U.S. military cemetery in the southern Netherlands removed two displays recognizing Black troops who helped to liberate Europe from the Nazis, visitors have filled the guestbook with objections.

Some time in the spring, the American Battle Monuments Commission, the U.S. government agency responsible for maintaining memorial sites outside the United States, removed the panels from the visitors center at the American Cemetery in Margraten, the final resting place for roughly 8,300 U.S. soldiers, set in rolling hills near the border with Belgium and Germany.

The removal, carried out without public explanation, has angered Dutch officials, the families of U.S. soldiers and the local residents who honor the American sacrifice by caring for the graves.

Mechanical engineer Fred Morse was _approached by the Richard Nixon administration t_o assess the potential of solar power. He took several years to work out what could be installed on the roof of the White House.[1] The panels could not alter or change the look of the house, and were ultimately white as opposed to a darker colour for aesthetic reasons.[1] The need for alternative sources of energy than fossil fuels and energy independence grew in the wake of the oil crises of 1973 and 1979.[1]

I keep telling people Richard Nixon was economically left of neoliberal Dems...

He's being sued over it afaik. Would love it if the courts ruled the ballroom has to be converted to space for the homeless, with cooking, bathing, toileting facilities.

Getting sued for anything including SA, has never stopped Trump.

Nixon was basically the last New Deal era Republican hell he was arguably the last of New Deal era president since Carter was ultimately a proto-neoliberal in a lot of ways and Ford and Bush existed. Hell just off the top of my head Nixon pushed early green energy investments, attempted to revitalize the rail and train network (average SoCal hope), and created the EPA. Frankly speaking if it wasn't for Nam, racism (drug war), and Watergate he'd be sitting comfortably next to FDR, Eisenhower, and Truman on my presidential list from best to worst, but instead he sits next to Dubya, Obama, and Clinton.

Also, Kaiser made him a deal he apparently couldn't refuse to scrap M4A, and push their crappy hmo.

Just making sure, I listed off a lot of people and was making sure you weren't referring to Eisenhower or someone.
