I was planning on driving 300+ miles this weekend to take the fam over to my folks for Christmas but there's a big storm on the mountain pass between us. So, we decided to stay home.

In some ways it's disappointing because I haven't seen my parents and siblings for a bit but I'm also kind of relieved that we can have a quiet, relaxing week. It's usually pretty chaotic at my parents house and driving so far in the winter out here is stressful.

It's bittersweet, kinda like really dark chocolate. 🍫

We've had those weekends. Now we live about 15 minutes away from the inlaws so don't have that excuse when the weather is bad.
