A Scottish woman that can't spell neighbour? I mean I know the education system is supposed to be bad in Scotland but I have doubts about this meme... π.
Neighbor is the correct spelling in the usa, and as such is a common way that autocorrect writes the word / wonβt get underlined as being spelled wrong.
But regardless of whether or not the word is correctly spelled: why should mistyping a single letter mean the education system is shit? Itd increfibly eazy ti fat finher or mss lettrs when typing and if a word isnβt underlined in red I imagine most people wonβt check if itβs the right spelling
Last time I checked Scotland wasn't in the USA π€. Gulf of Scotland? Maybe that's Trump's next big move π.
But I take your point about autocorrect. And perhaps you need to be a little bit more up to date with Scottish politics to understand the education jibe.
At the end of the day it's a silly meme on the internet.
To be fair, autocorrect will correct it according to the system and keyboard language and I have questions as to why a Scottish person would select English (US) as their system or keyboard language
Maybe it was the default.
This is snobby of me to say, but the general level of skill in writing in the UK - as in the US - is shockingly low.
Also, a lot of Scots use American spellings sometimes because of internet influence

Well shit.
There you go. She is Scottish and can't spell. I would never have guessed but fair play I was wrong.
