Mid-conversation I’ll start drifting off in random thoughts starting from who knows where, and by the time I snap out of it it’s been so long it’s awkward to resume a conversation.

How do you explain that you spent the last 45 minutes planning out exactly how to repurpose parking garages across the country as hydroponics farms (because of the slope, strong building support that can handle a lot of water, and wiring for lights) when public transit or ride share takes over, when the prior conversation was about beer/breweries? It’s barely in the realm of possible to explain, because you start to explain and then the other person goes “how on Earth did you get to that from there, while here” and then you stop and think about it and entirely forget why you were retracing your steps in the first place..
