A quart would be 16 2oz double shots.

Oh, shit, yeah, that's different. But I meant, how does the machine thinking you were still pressing it make a difference?

[–] Appoxo@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Peobably due to the grease and the capacitive touchscreen.

No, I get that. I'm asking why was it needed for the machine to serve two espressos "by mistake". Why not just grab yourself/themselves another one?

As I understood it would make not just 2 double shots but several before you wipe off the grease, possibly making OP go "hmmmm, yes, 16 double shots, I'll drink it now" and then developing a liking for this activity

Yeah, and it was 24. (16 for me, 8 for par for the bar for cocktails which was my excuse for running so many)

So at ~2 mins a pour, were talking just under an hour of otherwise having to stand there and press a button every 2 minutes.

This way I could set the machine up, walk away and go do my prep to set up the bar come back every 20 mins or so to decent some from the quart container.

Ah, that makes sense! Thanks.
