Sure, some aspects of the game have been changed from the original. But overall, it's still an amazing game and mostly faithful to the original. It's been exposed to loads of new people who didn't have a PS3 to play the game on, it's probably one of the best-looking games from a visual standpoint on PS5 etc.
The only gripe I have with the game is that it's, once again, stuck on a platform that probably won't be releasing its clutches from it anytime soon. Maybe a PC port is in the works, but I doubt it.
Apart from that, it's still awesome though, right?
This. I, ahem, found a way to play the original, and it was good. If I saw the remake was available on PC I would gladly buy it.
From what I've seen of the remake it looks great. Maybe because I'm new I don't have nostalgia to get upset about due to the changes.
Why ahem? If you own an early model ps3 and a copy of the game using rpcs3 to play it is honestly a better experience overall.
That being said, it sucks that the fucking dragon boss got broken completely when the game server got taken down, and they never pushed an update to fix it.
