As opposed to say Andrew Jackson who did that to Native Americans? What about Operation Wetback?
The fact that you had to go back just under 200 years to find another example really illustrates how bad it is.

Forgive me for not taking this conversation very seriously, I kind of wrote you off as any sensible person when you started defending the Trump admin.
Nobody who has replied to you has defended Trump. We have all been trying to point out that this idea that nobody has tried to violate rights until Trump is laughable. Rounding people up is a favorite pastime of white people in this country. This time is only different because people who consider themselves white are being targeted too. Suggesting that that makes this time worse is part of what got you downvoted.
Normalizing this administration is both inaccurate and a defense of it.

Ever heard of Barack Obama? 2009 winner. During his terms to 2017, ordered 1,878 drone strikes. Unknown number of innocent people killed. 2017 was 8 years ago.
Unironically the best POTUS of the last half century, saved millions from death and suffering by expanding Medicaid and funding deradicalization programs.

George W. Bush and his administration played musical chairs with the CIA leadership until they got one willing to fabricate evidence of WMDs in Iraq and then invade to the sole benefit of Exxon Mobil, the Obama admin was a million fucking times better than that.
Yeah, yeah, he only doubled down on detaining and torturing without trial, dragged the Afghanistan war/occupation on for another decade, and posthumously reclassified civilian drone-strike deaths as "combatants".

The USA incarcerated about 120,000 Japanese, which is not only smaller in scale but afaik was a completely public operation rather than a scheme to enrich private prison companies.
