They were going to no matter what because no one is willing to stop them. Now there's one less.
Were? They already are. Is there no one who remembers what happened in Minnesota a few months ago?
He ded?
He ded now
He ded.
I doubt he survived that, but if he did he'll be fucked for life
I just saw the news. Holy shit. I mean, how big of an iPhone screen do you need?
He didn't. The shot blew a major artery, death in less than a minute.
Shame he didn't suffer
*Fewer
Don't you kink shame me
We need both fewer and less.
Because of guns?
Things is, talking like this, using these words means you gotta keep shooting people. So you better start buying bullets
Been doing that.
Don't kid yourself, whatever they were going to do, is going to taken up a few notches.
However you feel about his dying, the manner of his death will absolutely change what happens next.
WTF even is this comment?
Oh noooo, the people talking about putting autistic people in camps and currently sending PoC people to camps and siccing the army on civilians might do bad things more if we fight back!
Let’s just ask them nicely and I’m sure they’ll pause their evil a little bit!
Are you serious?
What is your comment?
Maybe you should reread what I actually said, and then decide whether or not you want to delete your comment.
Since you were wondering, this was the part I was replying to:
They were going to do that anyways. Playing nice will gain us nothing.
That is my comment.
And that's objectively true.
I never said anything about what should, or shouldn't be done, or any other moral judgment on his assassination.
However, if you look at my comment history, I think you'll see my views on his death are pretty clear.
But none of that changes the fact that Trump will escalate as a result of this.
Trump will escalate anyway. He'll say it's because of this.
So in your opinion this is going to result in nothing different happening?
Well I think you're wrong, but guess what, we both get to find out together soon enough.
In my opinion the only things that might change are minor modifications to the timing of events. I do believe that there will be further bloodshed and things will get much worse before they get better. And that this event changes nothing in that regard. Until those of us who abhor violence run out of other options, the fascists will not be stopped. But that's just my opinion.
Did anything change after the political assassinations of Emerita Melissa Hortman and her husband, Mark Hortman?
I don't understand your point.
Why would Trump care about Democrats being killed?
This isn't about moral equivalency, or what's right, it's about what's going to happen next.
He essentially declared martial law in DC because one of his twerps got hassled, how do you think this goes?
I don't think it's controversial to point out the obvious.
Utah County is a very red area in the middle of a very red Utah state, and it happened at a right-leaning college.
It would be a very bad look if Trump sent troops in because "bad man with gun". Or it might be a wakeup call for the few dipshits still flying a Trump flag.
Either way, it's a complicated aituation.
Source: I live 20 minutes away from where it happened.
And why would any reprisals have to be targeted to Utah..?
This event will be used to justify all sorts of escalatory measures that weren't feasible for Trump yesterday.
But you don't have to believe me, we're going to get to watch it happen together real soon.
Again, I'm not even making a moral judgment about any of this. I'm just stating that objectively this is going to significantly amp up all of the fascist tendencies of this administration, and the right-wing in general - which will have real and political consequences.
Unless there's something about Trump that leads you to believe he won't take full advantage of the situation?
Oh he will, that's for certain.
A faster timeline means more people realizing they're fucked and the fascist regime will eventually get to them.
Sure, that's absolutely a real possibility.
Again, I'm not making any judgments on the actions taken today, just pointing out that there will be significant escalatory responses from the Trump admin.
They're just going to move up a timetable on existing plans. Fascism requires them to disarm the populace at some point. An armed populace is a threat to any regime's existence. In a democracy that's not a problem, but it is for totalitarians.
It was them that did it. They knew they needed the next level and sacrificed a pawn to take it there.
No offence but I don't think this was the work of "purple haired trans furry leftist college kid". That was a perfected professional death shot. A fed shot. A pro coup shot. A death sacrifice for the reason of social manipulation during a generation of modern war.
Have you read about the kid that supposedly tried to kill trump... It sounded like a set up. Even trump is a pawn in the grand scheme... A spokesman not a leader. A pupper not a president. All of this should really be blatant. But I think people watch too much media to see the world through a clear lens.
