micromobility - Bikes, scooters, boards: Whatever floats your goat, this is micromobility
Ebikes, bicycles, scooters, skateboards, longboards, eboards, motorcycles, skates, unicycles, heelies, or an office chair: Whatever floats your goat, this is all things micromobility!
"Transportation using lightweight vehicles such as bicycles or scooters, especially electric ones that may be borrowed as part of a self-service rental program in which people rent vehicles for short-term use within a town or city.
micromobility is seen as a potential solution to moving people more efficiently around cities"

It's a little sad that we need to actually say this, but:
Don't be an asshole or you will be permanently banned.
Respectful debate is totally OK, criticizing a product is fine, but being verbally abusive will not be tolerated.
Focus on discussing the idea, not attacking the person.

I can attest that Rim Brakes in several inches of snow or freezing rain become a problem. Ice builds up on the rim, and you have trouble braking, so you have to drag the brakes every once in a while so the leading edge can knock the accumulation off. A disk brake is up out of the elements and fare better.
I live in snow country, and you wouldn't catch me on a bike between November and April. That said I've never had a disc break and would like to try it.
Schwalbe studded tires will let you ride all year 😀
Finland would tell you: try it.
I'm over fifty. I only ride for fun, and riding in snow and ice isn't my idea of fun. I'd rather cross country ski in that case — but I'd really rather just be on a beach vacation in the Caribbean.
But I don't want to sound like I'm poo-pooing the idea, either. I haven't had a bike in over fifteen years, but I really want to start riding again. I miss it. It's the only exercise besides swimming that I really enjoy. I don't mean to be dismissive about how anyone enjoys riding.
