I wouldn't have assumed it was red as in politically right, my first assumption was reddit adjacent. I think you're fine 🤷♂️
While your opinion is valid, I'd encourage you to verify with measurable data (ie. look at my instance) rather than make an uninformed decision. We're a small instance with a single owner, no bots or spam, and our political preferences are clearly visible on the sidebar :) best of luck to you !
