Skimming the article, it seems that most of the parties involved are treating the sensitive data with the seriousness it deserves. And that's refreshing to see (even in an industry where privacy is expected).

But I'd much rather it stay offline, because at the end of the day sensitive information is a magnet for hacking operations, and if they can gain control of the systems, then it doesn't really matter if the company tries to do the right thing.

As a side note, audio analysis is a great use for AI technology, my issue is with how data is processed and stored.
