Shorts (as a format) aren’t the problem, it’s what you watch. If you train the algorithm to serve you garbage, then of course it’s gonna serve you garbage ¯_(ツ)_/¯
I literally never watch shorts. I’ve selected the option to show less shorts on my computer, I select the not interested option on each individual video on my TV when the row of them shows up, and they still constantly come back.
It blows my mind how popular shorts are because I've never had an interest in watching them.
Shorts as a format are a problem, infinite scroll is just too addictive and having a format that encourages grabbing your attention in the first milliseconds even more than normal videos drags quality down
Search is unusable because of shorts. Also I want the ability to turn them off.
