Especially useful for temperatures.
For miles, I mentally break it down like so; 1 + 1/2 + 10%. So sum the distance with it's half and add 10%.
5=8
I am always amused by other people's math shortcuts. There's just so many ways to do mental calculations. For all the deserved criticism "New Math" got, I do appreciate them adding mental math shortcuts in the curriculum.
You don't need a bot to multiply by 1.6.

Cheers! I duno if you're American but you have no idea how damn annoying it is, of all the countries that speak English of course it's the ONE country that uses backwards measurements that has the highest English speaking population
I'm not your doctor but im going to recommend you start microdosing this:
Why? This subreddit is one of the few places I come across miles and the only place I consistently come across it, if I had a bot it could auto translate from miles to KM and then I can go back to ignoring miles all together :)
I know it's hard when the world doesn't revolve around you. :c
