You don’t need GAP insurance if you just buy a vehicle you can afford in the first place.
I like the moneyguy 20/3/8 rule. 20% down in cash, no more than 3 years on the loan, no more than 8% of gross monthly income as your monthly payment.
Sure, and you don't need homeowner's insurance if you don't buy a house.
Why would you pay for insurance that specifically covers the difference of depreciation if you’re never under water on the vehicle?
