This is a community for discussion, news, and memes pertaining to the video game sub-genre "soulslike".
Given Lemmy's size, the definition of soulslike may be treated relatively loosely. While games like the numerous FromSoft titles, the recent Star Wars Jedi games, Lies of P, Nioh and similar games should be the focus, games that incorporate soulslike elements - like Hollow Knight and Blasphemous, for example - may also be discussed here.

You don't see an actual Dark Soul until Dark Souls 3's Ringed City DLC. At the very fucking end. ๐ฉ
Contrast that with Demon's Souls where you do, in fact, find Demon's Souls after every demon you slay. Or Bloodborne where babies are born from blood to be used as sacrifice to ancient aliens. Or Sekiro where the main character is literally John Sekiro. Even Elden Ring has an Elden Ring.

Or Lies of P where the main character has a P organ and is lying
Lords of the Fallen follows suit with Dark Souls. There are no lords and literally nobody falls. ๐
I don't even know what they were thinking when they named it P organ
