I don't think 155 people is enough to allege direct Chinese support for Russia. Maybe if they were all in advisory positions, but they seem to be cannon fodder. Likely volunteers or people tricked/pressed into service.
There are many more Western volunteers fighting for Ukraine right now, and that's not reason to take allegations of "NATO troops" being involved seriously.
And do you believe that a regime as controlling as the CCP could not know about any citizens, even one, fighting for Russia?
There's almost 1.5 billion people in China. No, despite their efforts I don't think they can keep tabs on every single one, much less act upon that information.
155 experts in air defense, intelligence or artillery could be massive or it could be 155 randos which is meaningless
That's the same thing I thought, I have no trouble believing that many Chinese people are either true believers in the cause, or are in it for the money.
