He needs to hit the rally circuit with Bernie and AOC.
Get ready for that next run. AOC top of ticket, Walz for vice.
Mainstream media asshats:
I can get behind this.
I'm sorry don't run another woman. America well not vote one in. Both times Trump win was against women.
I doubt it's the fact that they were women. They both just ran on terrible platforms.
Kamala Harris was one of the most unpopular primary candidates in the 2020 primary, if not the most unpopular; Somehow that didn’t discourage the Democratic Party from anointing her in 2024.
If you think being a woman is why they lost you are an absolute idiot, and will quite litterally lose to the next Republican they run after Trump, who I promise, will be the most dedicated, fascist woman you've ever heard of.
Michelle Obama would clean the floor with dude. Ofc she's too decent to want to be president. We really need to convince her.

I don't want Waltz anywhere near the presidency.
I would definitely vote for AOC any day of the week though.
Well I want a team that can win. Other people do like Walz; Harris' popularity spiked with that announcement. The campaign then hid him under a rock because he scared donors.
Even though AOC is one of the rare American politicians that I like, it's probably not the best idea to make her the presidential candidate. Simply due to the fact that she's a woman. The last few dem losses make it clear that America is still very sexist.
I'm in some circles that would never support her because she sat down with Hasan Piker. I would absolutely support her, but she's pretty polarizing. Same was said of Bernie despite him having one of the most successful grassroots attempts in history. Blows my mind that because they're populists they're immediately discounted by some, even though the positions they support are the ones we desperately need.
Forgive my rant, but just because Trump is a populist with us vs them rhetoric does not make them equal by any fucking stretch of the imagination, and it drives me insane that the friends I'm thinking of are so blinded by the label.

I unfortunately believe it may play some role too for some voters. There are Americans who still embrace their cultures, where there is an emphasis more on men being in charge. Think of some middle eastern cultures for example. And of course, there's the sexists.
Sad reality also is there is a lot of racism still within our country...
Is it because they were women? Are you sure it wasn't because they were borderline Republicans? Both Clinton and Harris are two of the most conservative democratic candidates to run in the last 30 years.
Well keep running women and keep coming up with excuses in why they loose besides admiring America is sexist.
Democrats: Run two of the most establishment, conservative, uninspiring candidates possible from their party; each with a laundry list of controversies and shady practices.
You: They must have lost because they were women!
Maybe if we ran an actual fucking liberal for a change.
Biden actually ran as a liberal and didn't try to court the Republicans. Even though he's got a long-term track record of voting for all the things Republicans love. Not to mention he ran basically a Reagan era White House. All the while being called the most liberal president we've ever had. Meanwhile Harris ran as a super conservative neoliberal. She embraced the war criminal Dick Cheney and refused to go on record as opposing the war on Gaza. Clinton steamrolled the entire Democratic party to take to nomination by force and then walked around pretending to be nice all the while spitting out conservative talking points.
The entire Democratic party is a fucking joke. And until progressives decide to shed the Democratic party and run as progressive independents instead we're going to continue to have this shit show.
Democrats really are willing to shut out all women as soon as a progressive woman is suggested.
The mental disconnect American liberals have with reality is staggering. Clinton and Harris did not lose the elections to Trump because they were women. They lost because they were unlikeable corporatist democrats that enabled genocide and supported the American oligarchy over the American people, and that was obvious to everyone with a brain.
They act like biden won with a decisive majority that gave centrism a mandate instead of barely squeaking in. It took days to be certain. That was far too close and democrats acted like everything was fine and that they could easily beat trump and still move to the right like they wanted.
Exactly. It’s insane.
Yet Republicans win really doing all of that.
Because those Left of center tend to stay home and roll over for fascists at the ballot box, despite it being a betrayal to all vulnerable people. The Right has their religious leaders and other authority figures making sure that the vote and promising to oppress vulnerable people.
The same things can be said about Biden and Obama, at least as far as where they are on the spectrum.
I've heard Republicans talk in the wild... You really, really underestimate how misogynistic people are. We're close but right now we need certainty. I think a woman VP is the best bet, and I would HATE To relegate aoc to the nothing that is VP. Give it another 8 years before running aoc imo
The kind of Republicans that would never vote for a woman are also the kind that would never vote for a Democrat.
There may be other reasons, but US has never had a woman president. Ever. I don't think this is the time to risk it again. Maybe if the dems win once and do well, they can try pushing for AOC next.
There's always some excuse why a progressive can't run.
I'm literally a fucking socialist. I'm just being pragmatic here.
It's neat how pragmatism always involves waiting an additional few decades to do anything other than field "we're second worst to nazis and that's it" candidates.
I don't make the rules. US is deeply racist and sexist. There isn't much we can do to change it overnight. Trying to push an ultra progressive candidate will simply mean losing the election. I'll love to see Bernie or AOC as the president, but most Americans think that they're Communist, and that's somehow a deal breaker to them.
We've had three cycles in a row of running dull conservatives against evil conservatives. One of them won, yes, but by the skin of his teeth. How many more cycles of losing to fascists are we gonna need?
I honestly don't have a good answer to that. But I think someone like Tim Walz, who has some progressive ideas, but still fits the image of a president for most Americans, is the better choice for the next term.
Nah.
