The same website makes metal buttons, resin buttons with real bugs inside, and more. Overall it's not really anything I'm personally interested, but I love that the deck has enough support, and is tinker friendly enough, that stuff like this is even an option.

Just swap the buttons to match Nintendo layout, and then there's a toggle in the steam settings>controller to switch to Nintendo layout

Edit ok actually I guess that won't work, the b button specifically is special and can't be swapped looks like.

pretty sure the buttons are "keyed" in a way that doesn't let you put them in the wrong slot. It's been that way for controllers I took apart.

also the B key is curved to match the slope of the edge of the console

Genuinely love that feature on my PS3 controller just so I can’t put the wrong buttons in whenever I’m doing in maintenance

Yup, this is correct.

People on Etsy sell custom buttons, including Nintendo ones.

They've also recently added an option for layout-agnostic glyphs that show the position of the button (the four hollow circles with the button in question filled in) which I kind of prefer

Or get blank buttons and re-map to the Nintendo config.
