I have never listened to the original.
Wha? I don't believe it. In case you're serious, here's a version with fun old-style cartoons with some concert footage mixed in: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G-CQPCNRzm4 It's great bc Al's halfway between his new wave faux-english phase and his dramatic bad boy growling phase.
He's remade this song several times, and the result always ranges from "not quite as good" to "why have you done this horrible thing?"
Ooh, this is the only one I'd heard. The voice re-do wasn't bad, tho it had unnecessary guitar riffs, and that synth rising trill got old fast. I guess it's cool he does various takes on it, tho.
This one isn't bad, some of his more industrial metal versions aren't so hot though IMO.
