Went outside to unpeg clothes from the washing line this morning. The welcoming chill air with clear skies was refreshing to walk out to. The intensity of our hot Summers has again abated for the year.
Isn't Tuesday expected to be 37?
Fucking Dammit! I thought it was only going to be one day next week!
I like it. I know lots of people don't, but I much prefer 30-40 over rain. I know we need rain and I'm all about getting it and getting it over and done with - returning to the warm. ๐
I live in a pretty bushy area of Perth, and because of my interest in it, i suppose i'm alert to the changes and pressures on the animals and plants i see around me.
Every summers a bit rough on the wildlife, this summer i've had a small goanna/lizard die, a couple small birds, and a baby bird fall from its nest strangled by the plastic fibres the parent had made the nest from.
3 out of 4 of those i suspect heat had a lot to do with the deaths, i suppose the bird chick might have been different.
This is of course only atbmy house, plenty of others dead by the roadside as i go around.
So thats why i'm always a bit fanatical about the cooler weather, seems stuff dies less.
