I agree that solitary confinement is torture, but at least according to the article, this drastically cuts down on the length of time that people are put in solitary confinement, so harm reduction. It also appears to help them get out of prison sooner and handle things better when they get out.

The guardian is not a reliable source of truth, the article above is essentially sponsored content. Do you have additional sources to back up those claims on harm reduction?

Can you list the news and information outlets that you consider as reliable sources of truth? I doubt that there have been studies about this.
