Very small for 6590 lumens! They made a light a while back with two side by side 18650s inside and that's what I expected on seeing the pic. But this is really an EDC pocket light the lack of waterproof seals is a minus. "Tactical" seems to be a marketing label since the UI is more EDC style and it says EDC right in the name:). Price is $109.95 on US Nitecore store. I didn't watch the teardown video (maybe later) so I wonder how feasible a diy battery replacement is.
I had to check the user manual to see the warranty is 24 months and after that, they can do repairs for a service charge. That seems worth mentioning in the review since it's probably the normal route to getting the battery replaced when needed.
Thanks for the review!
Do you mean the mighty EDC37? That one isn't released yet.
No it was a few years ago. Oh hmm it may have been Fenix, but same idea. I'll look for the model later. It was big and heavy compared with the edc29.
It was probably an EC4 if you're really thinking of a nitecore. I have an EC4SW and still love/use it.
I think it was the Fenix TK35 or some variant. I paid more attention to Fenix than Nitecore back then.
I remember looking at the TK35. Those two have a very similar form factor. I remember going for the Nitecore EC4SW because it was a floodier light.
