I've been pulling apart wood piles and cutting logs so they contact the soil. Controlled burns are a non starter here unfortunately so this is my compromise. I was thinking of drilling holes in the bigger logs, I should look into making native spore juice. I'm hoping to get things water logged as possible before the inevitable fire.
