This news is an awesome mix of peak "life is beautiful" and peak "but why?".

  • RuneScape and DreamCast are beautiful parts of gaming history, and both deserve loving preservation.
  • I'm having trouble imagining a worse way to experience RuneScape than on a DreamCast controller.

Edit:

Development Challenges: The developers acknowledged that the game “runs like ass” in its current state, but they are committed to improving performance over time. This includes addressing frame rate issues and optimizing network connectivity for the Dreamcast’s 56k modem.

I don't have words to express my awe. I think maybe this is just an epic show of skill.

Hey, I had a lot of fun with Phantasy Star Online on the DC! Haha

I kinda want to know more about the technical challenges for this specifically, since I recently saw something that went into super great detail about GTA 3 being ported to the Dreamcast.
