They've had their independence for 77 years. After a while, I think blaming colonialism is a bit reductive.
Blaming colonialism is used by many corrupt, incompetent post-colonial governments to distract people from their own corrupt incompetence. It's like with Putin blaming NATO and the West for everything.

77 years is just not that long in the grand scheme of things
I think you need to look at the history of Myanmar if you think there is nothing to blame the British for here.
