What's BART and where is Union City? Asking for a European friend

BART Police is short for Bay Area Rapid Transit Police Department and Union City is in California.

I suppose it's well known like your local infamous town of something? Thanks!

It's not but the source posted is a local TV news outlet so it assumes knowledge of the area.

I don't know, I'm European myself lol. I've just been there once on a work trip.

Adding on to the other comment, Bay Area refers to the San Francisco Bay Area. BART is the name of the public transit system that services San Francisco and neighboring cities.

I appreciate it though, thanks!
