With all the stuff recently I've been thinking similarly about Lemmy. It's a bit "much".

On the bright side, I've been meaning to read a book for months and that finally gave me the impetus to start:-). I really enjoy how calming that is, as opposed to continual doomscrolling.

I've found myself enjoying other things more because of it.

Yesterday I even took a break from social media altogether (except logging in to check for mod reports) - it was harder to do that than I expected...

Social media is an infinite book + conversation in one. :-)

I've essentially have been doing the same thing. Its been a little freeing.

The problem was that even with the extra time, I still didn't want to spend it doing the backlog of tasks that keep piling up... :-P
