Welcome to the News community!
Rules:
1. Be civil
Attack the argument, not the person. No racism/sexism/bigotry. Good faith argumentation only. This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban. Do not respond to rule-breaking content; report it and move on.
2. All posts should contain a source (url) that is as reliable and unbiased as possible and must only contain one link.
Obvious biased sources will be removed at the mods’ discretion. Supporting links can be added in comments or posted separately but not to the post body. Sources may be checked for reliability using Wikipedia, MBFC, AdFontes, GroundNews, etc.
3. No bots, spam or self-promotion.
Only approved bots, which follow the guidelines for bots set by the instance, are allowed.
4. Post titles should be the same as the article used as source. Clickbait titles may be removed.
Posts which titles don’t match the source may be removed. If the site changed their headline, we may ask you to update the post title. Clickbait titles use hyperbolic language and do not accurately describe the article content. When necessary, post titles may be edited, clearly marked with [brackets], but may never be used to editorialize or comment on the content.
5. Only recent news is allowed.
Posts must be news from the most recent 30 days.
6. All posts must be news articles.
No opinion pieces, Listicles, editorials, videos, blogs, press releases, or celebrity gossip will be allowed. All posts will be judged on a case-by-case basis. Mods may use discretion to pre-approve videos or press releases from highly credible sources that provide unique, newsworthy content not available or possible in another format.
7. No duplicate posts.
If an article has already been posted, it will be removed. Different articles reporting on the same subject are permitted. If the post that matches your post is very old, we refer you to rule 5.
8. Misinformation is prohibited.
Misinformation / propaganda is strictly prohibited. Any comment or post containing or linking to misinformation will be removed. If you feel that your post has been removed in error, credible sources must be provided.
9. No link shorteners or news aggregators.
All posts must link to original article sources. You may include archival links in the post description. News aggregators such as Yahoo, Google, Hacker News, etc. should be avoided in favor of the original source link. Newswire services such as AP, Reuters, or AFP, are frequently republished and may be shared from other credible sources.
10. Don't copy entire article in your post body
For copyright reasons, you are not allowed to copy an entire article into your post body. This is an instance wide rule, that is strictly enforced in this community.

It failed on the floor, but got an impressive 18 votes, I think. Done.
All Republicans voted against it.
That was guaranteed, the Democrats that voted against it is the important part; these are the people to campaign against and vote out.
Still gonna email my displeasure to my senators.
look at this long list of fucking total human ~~disgraces~~ turds.
Sure, then you can have Republicans replace them and be assured it never comes up for a vote at all. The logic is outstanding.
So its gone from you cant vote third party to now you cant even even vote for democrats who don't support genocide?
You mean the logic of just ignoring that primaries exist in order to prop op the false dichotomy that led to losing all parts of the government to a literal fascist party?
Yeah, your logic IS outstandingly bad.
Republicans will not allow a vote on the floor to limit Israeli arms. Democrats did. Simple
Again falsely assuming that the only Democrats possible are the crappy Republican Lite Neoliberals that lost everything to the fascists 🙄
Again, assuming your views are shared by the majority of Americans. Hint: they're not
This you?
Fact is that yours is the majority opinion of the rich donors and their pet politicians, but mine is the majority opinion of the people in general.
All Americans. Sorry.
Wrong. Not sorry.
Turns out that burning US flags in the streets, defacing public property, and wearing a keffiyeh just makes you look stupid. Who wooda thought?
Turns out that your references, priorities, and values are about 30 years behind the times. Who'd a thunk it?
I love people who's only experience with a college campus is to camp out in one.
And I love people who make condescending assumptions based on absolutely no data the moment you challenge their preconceived notions. So refreshing! So original! So smart!
Throwing a fit and determining everything is about you is a sure sign of a juvenile personality.
Yeah, so you should probably stop doing that.
I'm surprised that's the best you can do.
Far from it, but you don't warrant any better. Not worth the effort.
The only answer of the DNC and their apparatchiks every time their 1992 strategy fails:
Looking good on that soap box. Time to run, I think.
A Senate term is 6 years. Before a run it might be good for the grown ups to check the particulars.
Sure, if you say so. The wait is up to you.
Exactly. There's going to be a lot of calls for Democrats to eat each other in the next 4 years.
The term of a Senator is 6 years. You've got at least a decade to wait.
For some, that time is coming. Come nov 2026 midterms all class 2 senators are up for reelection (and then class 3 in 2028). While there are more Republicans up at that point than Democrats, the strategy will be the same, and many of those Republican seats seem pretty safe.

And Republicans will never allow the Senate to vote on arms supply to Israel. It's really that simple.
Yep. And trolls will paint this as "both sides the same." I wonder if Trump will get a "genocide" moniker?
Maybe they'll be afraid to. Never know. But, somehow I suspect not.
