I thought there was going to be violence at the polls
It's quite strange. For months leading up to October there were many articles that indicated planned sabotage like executive orders around mail voting, voter roll purges, voting booth closures, plans to use ICE to "secure" polling locations, but as the election grew nearer they dried up.
Historically propaganda grows all the way up to the pivotal date and evaporates immediately afterwards (e.g. migrant caravans, jan 6). It appears as though some other force was at play; maybe the fascists plans were sabotaged from within, or support amongst their ranks collapsed. Maybe the data across surveillance capitalism indicated it would be statistically impossible to win regardless of all their election fraud, which is only able to impact races that are relatively close.
They did try to mess with voter rolls and mail in ballots, but it largely fizzled and would have only been a few thousand votes in places where it would not have mattered. Essentially the margin was so wide in the end there was no point in keeping up.
The ICE scenario was speculation, but as we got into October, it became less likely because it would have had to start by then to make a difference, particularly not being there for early voting meant they weren't going to be there at all. I don't think there was ever real information on that, just a "sounds like something they would do".
I'm hoping that it continues to turn out to be nothing too severe, but Stephen Miller in particular worries me, he has long openly expressed an enthusiasm for things like sending GOP national guard units into democratically controlled states. They have openly said they have a plan to "govern without Congress", but how far they can go or actually will try to go, who knows.
Maybe some Russian data center's got bombed...
I had such anxiety all through October, I kept thinking something really bad was about to happen regarding the elections
