.6 Scaramuchis

I guessed it

Scaramuchi = 11 days, Zachamuchi = 7 days

[–] ThePowerOfGeek@lemmy.world 69 points 3 days ago (2 children)

Zacharia to Scaramuchi: "Look at me. I'm the measurement of incompetence now!"

[–] TryingToBeGood@reddthat.com 20 points 3 days ago (1 children)

He apparently said records are made to be broken.

[–] ThePowerOfGeek@lemmy.world 16 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Yeah, he's probably relieved about it.

[–] TryingToBeGood@reddthat.com 15 points 3 days ago

But we’re still going to use “mooches.”😁😁

[–] NotMyOldRedditName@lemmy.world 3 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago)

he can finally breath a sigh of relief.

[–] Fishy@lemmy.world 33 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago) (1 children)

Impressive since most thought a Scaramuchi was a fundamental unit

[–] meco03211@lemmy.world 3 points 3 days ago (3 children)

Eh. Fundamental units are about the unit itself and not the value. Like the second is the fundamental unit of time but you can really have fractions of a second. Or were you thinking of something like Planck units? Those are the smallest theoretical units that make sense given general relativity. So a Planck length is the smallest distance between two points that would be considered two separate points. Any closer and they are effectively the same point.

Maybe the Mooch was the Planck unit and the Zachariah is the quantum unit?

Maybe the Mooch was the Planck unit and the Zachariah is the quantum unit?

Hang on, I think others posted that Mooch was fired before he signed his contract. This would suggest that a Mooch is in superposition existing in both a fired from employment and not yet hired for employment simultaneously. So only observation can collapse the waveform to obtain a singular value of a Mooch for a given moment.

[–] Fishy@lemmy.world 3 points 3 days ago

I was thinking smallest theoretical unit. I knew I had made a mistake and couldn’t think of the correct term. And I wondered if anyone was going to correct me. I’m happy you did.

[–] funkless_eck@sh.itjust.works 2 points 3 days ago

Ironically the name, "second," implies that it's not fundamental.

[–] TheRealKuni@piefed.social 25 points 3 days ago (4 children)

I thought a Scaramucci was 10 or 11 days, depending on whether you use the metric or imperial Scaramucci.

[–] bstix@feddit.dk 27 points 3 days ago (2 children)

The Scaramucci is a complex number, because while he might have worked 11 days, he got fired before his contract started, so his total days of employment is weirdly negative.

Also he missed the birth of one of his children and got served divorce papers in those same days.

I think we can all learn something important from the amazing fuck up that Scaramucci achieved in such short time: Don't do coke.

[–] BlackSwan@lemmy.blahaj.zone 1 points 2 days ago

At least he isn't Steve Bannon, he isn't trying to suck his own cock

[–] JoeBigelow@lemmy.ca 4 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Tony really had one hell of a fuckin week huh!?

[–] NotMyOldRedditName@lemmy.world 4 points 3 days ago (1 children)
[–] wonderingwanderer@sopuli.xyz 1 points 3 days ago

It's called: The Hangover 5

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 5 points 3 days ago

Depends. Was it a leap year? Also, did it span a daylight savings time change?

[–] workerONE@lemmy.world 4 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago) (1 children)

Yes, 11 days. But she was Press Secretary for 9 days, from the 9th to the 16th. 9/11 = .81

Edit: 9th to 16th is 7 days, not 9. So I guess my prediction of .6 scaramuchis was correct

[–] pelespirit@sh.itjust.works 3 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Wait, they're the 9/11 unit? yikes

[–] homesweethomeMrL@lemmy.world 4 points 3 days ago

Bananamooch for scale

[–] MotherReckless@lemmy.zip 8 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Americans will measure with anything but the Metric system…

[–] boaratio@lemmy.world 3 points 2 days ago (1 children)

She was press secretary for 0.3 hamburgers. That's like less than a one hundredth of a monster truck.

[–] MotherReckless@lemmy.zip 3 points 2 days ago

1/100 Monster Truck ≈ 72 deflated footballs.

[–] Bahnd@lemmy.world 10 points 3 days ago (3 children)

What is the exact number? Im getting 5ish days, some are a week. I do not know how scientific we can get when attempting to measure micro-muchies.

[–] workerONE@lemmy.world 5 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago) (1 children)

According to Wikipedia she served as press secretary from October 9 until her termination on October 16.

So 9 days Edit 7 days, math is hard

[–] str82L@lemmy.world 6 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago) (1 children)

How did you get 9 days out of those dates? I get 7, 8 at best

[–] workerONE@lemmy.world 6 points 3 days ago

Counting is hard. It's 7

[–] daychilde@lemmy.world 5 points 3 days ago

some are a week.

and some are a strong, but this one? this one, she is a week

(sorry, couldn't resist)

[–] pelespirit@sh.itjust.works 2 points 3 days ago

I love that you made the plural muchies.

The headline says 5 days... that's less than half a scaramuchi...

[–] workerONE@lemmy.world 1 points 2 days ago

Five days since her first press conference, but she started serving as press secretary on the 9th, two days earlier.
