why would they? esp in America/Western countries. They know who Neil Armstrong is though.

The Russian kids know who he is.

Because when I was growing up in the 90s they used to teach this stuff in American schools; do they not anymore?

I know who he is, I'm not Russian. I've have this amazing ability to be aware of the existence of people who are aunt from my country, which possibly does put me above your average American.
