I think I might just join the Amish, the most technically advanced thing they have is a Harmonica. Let’s see how capitalism tries to ruin life when you don’t buy anything.
Capitalism without the capacity to buy anything or have a meaningful impact on power structures is just called Fuedalism.
Do you think that is going too far? Should we aim for a Serf Rebellion vibe instead?
Yeah I have been vibe agitating with some fellow serfs, we used to meet in private in dark rooms with no electronics but nowadays we all just converse individually with Claude and meet up in Discord to confirm what we realized we already knew and it is way more efficient!
I miss when vibe was just a feeling, goon was just an entry level gangster, and Claude was a painter.
I do too, but it is easy enough just to simulate most of that stuff with AI so what could be the harm in getting rid of all that if if our pre-emptive belief AI can just replace it all is founded on unshakable and absolute faith?
The nice thing about this ideology is I can pretend to be cold and rational while behaving like and politically alligning myself with evangelical christian end times crazy cultists, and the confluence of money and power just feels natural and right!

That's the perfect opportunity to push The Day the World Stops Shopping. Really good book, can only recommend it. Reject consumerism and capitalism!

My point is you don't have to live with them
There are ecovillages, and other forms of intentional communities. You have the Global Ecovillage Network, Federation of Egalitarian Communities, and the Foundation for Intentional communities.
