on a two or four lane highway, sure. on anything six lanes or larger, there definitely is.

Y'all realize they count all the lanes, not just the ones going one direction right? A 3 lane highway is 1 lane each direction and a suicide lane.
they is the uniform vehicular code. they do count like that where you are, you just don't pay attention
I guess technically it can be a 2+1 highway if you so will, but true.
Still, anything above 4 lanes is dangerously close to mental illness territory
